Principal Product Manager (AI)

Base salary: $190,000–$230,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Own the unified model stack rank, per-chip roadmap, prioritization process, and roadmap dashboard.
• Convert priorities into engineering commitments, coordinate delivery, and lead model launches with Marketing, Documentation, and GTM.
• Define feature-completeness frameworks, acceptance criteria, evaluation methodology, and quality bars for models.
• Test new models using real prompts, agentic tasks, feature checks, evaluations, and experiments.
• Build demos, notebooks, lightweight applications, and product mock-ups that demonstrate model performance and value.
• Track the open-weight model landscape, customer feedback, competitive positioning, and roadmap data quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of combined product management and technical experience, including 3+ years managing AI/ML, developer, or infrastructure products.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, transformer and MoE architectures, inference trade-offs, function calling, structured output, and reasoning.
• Experience owning roadmaps, setting priorities under constraints, and driving cross-functional teams to launch.
• Ability to build prioritization models, dashboards, and scorecards, query APIs, and modify Python scripts.
• Hands-on experience calling model APIs, running evaluations, and building prototypes with Python, notebooks, or lightweight UI tools.

Nice to have

• Experience at an inference provider, model lab, AI cloud, or AI hardware company.
• Familiarity with vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT-LLM, and OpenAI- or Anthropic-compatible APIs.
• Experience designing model evaluations and benchmark methodologies.
• Background in ML or solutions engineering, enterprise or public-sector AI, sovereign AI, or the open-source model community.
