Senior Product Manager, AI Initiatives (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States; up to approximately 20% travel for conferences and field team meetings. U.S.-based employees near Tempe, Austin, Petaluma, Rock Rapids, or Bloomington may work on a hybrid schedule at an office location.

Base pay: $119,786–$169,950 per year, plus potential incentive, commission, or annual bonus pay.

What you will do

• Lead the development of AI and machine learning-powered educational products.
• Identify user needs through interviews, analytics, and stakeholder input, applying user-centric thinking to educational products.
• Research education technology trends and competitive landscapes to define product backlogs and roadmaps.
• Build and communicate product vision and roadmaps while balancing needs across business units.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize agile work based on outcomes and business value.
• Coordinate product launches and dependencies across product, data, curriculum, sales, marketing, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of product management experience focused on AI and machine learning solutions in education or related fields, with a master’s degree in education, technology, software development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination.
• Experience building products with AI, generative AI, and large language models, including fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation, and prompt engineering.
• Experience defining AI data strategies covering data collection, labeling, synthetic data generation, and human feedback.
• Ability to define success metrics and objective criteria for model performance and educational outcomes.
• Strong agile product management, stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills, including experience with Jira and Confluence.
• U.S.-based remote work and willingness to travel up to 20% are required. A valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a clean driving record for at least the preceding 39 months are also required.
