Electrical Facilities Engineer

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States; on-site. Willingness to travel up to 25%. Relocation support may be provided in certain situations.

Salary: $106,000–$181,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Translate electrical requirements from production equipment and operational flows into facility requirements, designs, and construction documents.
• Lead electrical scope development from early concept evaluations through permitting and on-site execution.
• Identify and manage critical-path items across electrical design, procurement, and construction.
• Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, structural, mechanical, manufacturing, facilities, and construction teams.
• Serve as the primary electrical point of contact for external architects and general contractors.
• Review drawings, provide constructability feedback, and resolve electrical design issues before field execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in electrical facility or building-systems design.
• Experience designing new manufacturing or production facilities.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC/NFPA 70 and IBC, and industrial power distribution.
• Proficiency with Procore or an equivalent construction management platform.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain the authorizations required under ITAR.

Nice to have

• Professional engineering licensure or clear progress toward it.
• Experience in nuclear, energy, aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing.
• Knowledge of field installation methods, materials, troubleshooting, and constructability.
• Experience with design-for-construction, design-for-operations, or expedited project timelines.
• Strong interpersonal skills for cross-disciplinary and external-partner collaboration.
