Federal Financials and Accounting Consultant (SAP ERP)

Target hourly rate: $50.00–$90.00 per hour

What you will do

• Define functional requirements and specifications for federal financials and accounting data separation within an ERP modernization program.
• Support data cleansing, profiling, conversion, analysis, and validation across hundreds of source tables.
• Define and validate business logic and data relevancy rules with client stakeholders, ensuring compliance and auditability.
• Coordinate with data owners to reconcile transaction details, commitments, obligations, and General Ledger balances.
• Analyze solution alternatives, perform gap analyses, and estimate financial impacts.
• Build financial KPIs, reports, dashboards, and deliverable solutions based on complex customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in federal accounting, reporting, auditing, or finance management analysis.
• 3+ years supporting functional design, business processes, and configuration of ERP finance and accounting systems; SAP ERP experience is preferred.
• Experience with Finance Master Data, including General Ledger accounts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, customers, and vendors.
• Experience working with government systems such as SharePoint and ServiceNow and with government stakeholders.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing federal ERP financials and accounting systems.
• Experience supporting Federal SAP S/4HANA application development and data migration through a requirements-driven lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience reviewing federal General Ledger data; DHS experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of business processes being transformed for ERP deployment.
