Frontend Software Engineer (React)

Salary: $75,300–$143,100 annually

What you will do

• Build and enhance frontend frameworks, developer platforms, and tooling used by engineering teams across Lowe’s.
• Develop React-based components and framework capabilities using modern JavaScript practices.
• Contribute to micro-frontend architecture, developer tooling, performance improvements, observability, and platform modernization.
• Own medium-sized features from requirements analysis through implementation, testing, and delivery.
• Troubleshoot production and framework issues, identify root causes, and implement reliable solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners while following code review, CI/CD, testing, and secure development practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience where applicable.
• At least 2 years of experience in software development or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with React and JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of component-based frontend development, debugging, testing, and maintainable code.
• Experience with the software development lifecycle in an iterative Agile environment.
• Working knowledge of source control, CI/CD, testing, and secure software development.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, Node, micro-frontends, frontend frameworks, developer tooling, or platform engineering.
• Experience with npm, package and dependency management, reusable frontend libraries, performance optimization, observability, or enterprise-scale applications.
• Experience writing technical documentation and working with business or enterprise systems.
