Software Engineer II (React)

Location: Remote within the United States; candidates must reside near Atlanta, GA; Chicago, IL; San Antonio, TX; or Denver, CO for occasional collaboration.

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 annual starting salary.

What you will do

• Build and maintain customer-facing Mailgun and internal Admin frontend applications.
• Develop reusable and scalable React and TypeScript UI components.
• Build data-heavy interfaces with tables, filtering, reporting, and configuration forms.
• Integrate RESTful backend APIs and manage asynchronous data, loading states, errors, validation, and caching.
• Improve application performance, usability, accessibility, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, technical discussions, and production troubleshooting.

Requirements

• 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, single-page applications, and reusable frontend components.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs and managing frontend state, asynchronous data fetching, and caching.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern frontend development practices.
• Experience with Cypress, Jest, or Playwright, plus familiarity with Git, code review, and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS products, internal tools, or administrative applications.
• Familiarity with data visualization, observability, or monitoring tools.
• Experience with Go and/or Node.
