Senior Data Engineer (Finance Data)

What you will do

• Build versioned SQL transformation logic across staging, conformed, and curated warehouse layers.
• Recompute application-layer business logic, including account balances and other derived financial values.
• Flatten and conform key-value and dimension-set source structures into dimensional reporting attributes.
• Convert spreadsheet and point-report logic into reusable transformations in the curated layer.
• Implement reconciliation and data-quality checks from replication integrity through report-level parity.
• Support BI semantic models and reporting tools using approved curated objects, while participating in code reviews, CI/CD promotion, and automated regression testing.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with substantial SQL transformation work on a cloud data warehouse.
• Experience with Snowflake and dimensional or curated data modeling from normalized or application-native sources.
• Experience implementing Slowly Changing Dimensions Type 2, temporal data models, and reconciliation or data-quality frameworks.
• Solid Git-based development and CI/CD promotion experience across development, testing/UAT, and production.
• Awareness of sensitive-data handling, access tiers, data classification, and security-aware engineering practices.
• Fluent English at B2 level is required for daily collaboration with distributed engineers and US client stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt or a similar versioned SQL transformation framework.
• Experience with Power BI or another enterprise BI platform.
• Experience with financial or GL data modeling, including ledgers, charts of accounts, fiscal calendars, and accounting periods.
• Experience in mortgage, lending, or financial-services data engineering.
