Senior Analytics Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States

Builds embedded financial infrastructure for games, supporting payments, money movement, compliance, player rewards, marketplaces, creator economies, and esports.

What you will do

• Own the transformation layer while implementing dbt on a new cloud data warehouse.
• Design dimensional models, tests, documentation, and reusable data patterns.
• Translate ambiguous business questions into durable models and clear data definitions.
• Partner with finance, compliance, and product stakeholders to define requirements and correctness criteria.
• Monitor data products, resolve issues, and escalate risks before they affect stakeholders.
• Work across ingestion, orchestration, warehouse configuration, analysis, and decision support when needed.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience across analytics engineering, data engineering, or analytics with substantial modeling ownership.
• Strong analytical SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and performance-aware queries.
• Fluency in data and dimensional modeling, with the ability to design schemas from unclear requirements.
• Experience with dbt or an equivalent transformation framework such as Dataform or SQLMesh.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
• Familiarity with orchestration, BI, version control, CI/CD, testing, documentation, and stakeholder requirements gathering.

Nice to have

• Platform-level experience with Terraform, infrastructure as code, DMS/CDC, data lakes, or data observability.
• Experience working with financial, payments, or regulated data.
