Data Engineer Finance (f/m/d)

What you will do

• Build and operate shared data ingestion, integration, and engineering foundations for Finance.
• Turn Finance requirements into production-grade data products for reporting, analytics, automation, and AI.
• Integrate ERP and other source systems through ETL/ELT and create well-modelled data for consumption.
• Develop maintainable transformations and data models using Snowflake, SQL, Python, and dbt.
• Embed data quality checks, automated testing, observability, and lineage into delivered solutions.
• Own solutions from design through production operation, including root-cause analysis, documentation, reusable code, and coaching.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production data pipelines, platforms, or data products.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, advanced SQL, Python, and dbt.
• Practical experience with Git, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Knowledge of data modelling, database design, and performance optimization.
• Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into maintainable solutions and resolve production issues.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or a relevant apprenticeship; strong professional English required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Finance data and processes.
• Experience with semantic modelling and practical AI skills, including LLMs or AI-assisted development.
• German language skills.
