Summer Intern – Protein Engineering (Biotechnology)

Location: Lebanon, New Hampshire, United States; full-time, in-person presence required

Salary: $20.00–$35.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support in-vitro characterization of new biotherapeutics in research programs.
• Perform mammalian and/or bacterial expression of potential therapeutic targets.
• Conduct purification and characterization of molecules.
• Collaborate with research teams and cross-functional groups involved in drug development.
• Learn and apply scientific techniques used in rare disease research.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program in Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Strong wet-lab skills and hands-on experience with standard laboratory practices and safety protocols.
• Ability to execute experiments independently and reproducibly.
• Experience with microbiology techniques, including cloning, purification, and molecule characterization.
• Availability for a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, 12-week, in-person internship.

Nice to have

• Experience with protein purification and characterization.
• Experience with bacterial expression, benchtop purification, FPLC purification, plate-based assays, or nanodrop protein concentration.
