Senior Project Manager (High Voltage)

Location: On site in the United States, flexible location in Texas; travel to project, supplier, utility, partner, and operating locations is required as needed.

What you will do

• Lead high-voltage scopes for gas generation projects, including substations, switchyards, transformers, transmission or generator-tie lines, protection and control, SCADA, metering, and utility interfaces.
• Develop and maintain execution plans, governance structures, integrated schedules, budgets, forecasts, risk registers, change logs, and performance dashboards.
• Define scopes of work and support RFPs, bidder evaluations, negotiations, contract awards, and execution readiness.
• Represent the owner with EPC contractors, OEMs, engineering firms, utilities, suppliers, authorities, customers, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operations, finance, legal, environmental, permitting, and safety teams.
• Oversee design reviews, constructability, value engineering, equipment logistics, installation, testing, energization, commissioning, performance testing, closeout, and turnover to operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Typically 10 or more years of high-voltage design, construction, commissioning, or project-management experience.
• Strong knowledge of project execution, contracts, schedules, budgets, risk, quality, safety, and project documentation.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and resolving complex technical, commercial, and execution issues.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project systems.
• Ability to work on site in the United States and travel to project and operating locations as required.
