Senior Program Manager, Plasmid DNA / Cell and Gene Therapies (Client-Facing) (Plasmid DNA)

Location: Remote from the United States; the role is part of the Program Management Organization located in Fargo, North Dakota and includes travel to the Fargo site and client locations up to 25% of the time.

Annual salary: $150,000–$165,000, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead complex, multi-program portfolios for strategic accounts across validation, PPQ, commercial launch, recurring supply, and lifecycle management.
• Own senior-level client relationships, account strategy, escalations, and long-term partnership outcomes.
• Coordinate Business Development, Legal, Contracts, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Finance, and Technical Operations.
• Establish program governance, monitor schedules, budgets, KPIs, risks, capacity, and financial performance.
• Translate service agreements, statements of work, supply agreements, quality agreements, amendments, and change orders into executable plans.
• Forecast demand, support proposals and renewals, manage business growth, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced scientific degree is strongly preferred.
• 7+ years of client-facing project, program, or account management experience in life sciences, preferably including 5+ years in a GMP-regulated CDMO environment.
• Experience managing programs and contracts in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device environments.
• Working knowledge of plasmid DNA manufacturing and applications in cell and gene therapy, gene editing, mRNA, vaccines, or genomic medicine.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, risk forecasting, and sustainable solution implementation skills.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States and travel up to 25%, including overnight travel.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in science, engineering, law, project management, or business, or a PMP certification.
• Experience leading commercial or late-phase plasmid DNA programs through technology transfer, process validation, PPQ, regulatory inspections, launch, recurring supply, or lifecycle management.
• Experience with strategic accounts, long-term supply agreements, capacity reservation, demand planning, pricing protections, change orders, executive governance, and commercial supply continuity.
