Software Engineering Program Manager - Cardiac Ablation Solutions

Location: Newton, Massachusetts, or Mounds View, Minnesota, United States; minimum on-site presence of 4 days per week

Salary: $142,400–$213,600 USD per year

What you will do

• Lead software engineering teams through architecture, design, development, testing, and sustaining activities for complex medical device software.
• Plan and execute release milestones, risk management, defect resolution, resource planning, budgets, and project schedules.
• Coordinate software development deliverables across multiple sites in accordance with FDA and other regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement through industry-standard software engineering processes and Agile practices.
• Contribute to product strategy, roadmaps, project planning, tradeoff analysis, and release decisions.
• Provide status updates and collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Systems, Test, and other engineering partners; travel as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Program management experience in a technical discipline or relevant software engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of medical product software development, IEC-62304, and FDA guidance, or experience in another highly regulated environment.
• Experience with software lifecycle processes, configuration management, documentation practices, and engineering management tools.
• Ability to work cross-functionally across facilities and influence stakeholders at different organizational levels.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment; sponsorship is not available for roles below Principal level.

Nice to have

• Experience leading product development or process improvement projects.
• Experience with complex software systems involving real-time performance, hardware integration, data visualization, or distributed system components.
• Strong communication skills, entrepreneurial drive, and experience working in fast-paced collaborative environments.
