Strategic Sourcing Specialist

What you will do

• Lead multifunctional stakeholder teams through strategic sourcing initiatives and projects.
• Manage end-to-end sourcing activities, including category strategy, market analysis, negotiations, supplier selection, and contract lifecycle management.
• Develop and maintain sourcing programs for categories such as compression, heavy equipment, pipe, valves and fittings, pipeline integrity, and tank services.
• Execute vendor agreements using company-approved templates and third-party contracts.
• Use spend data, industry insights, cost models, and market intelligence to develop category and negotiation strategies.
• Present sourcing strategies and results to leadership while coordinating contract risk and language with Legal, Risk, EHS, and business unit stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, accounting, supply chain management, or a related discipline is preferred.
• At least 5 years of procurement experience; 10 years may substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of relevant industries and commodities, with strong analytical, problem-solving, time-management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Experience building relationships with internal customers and vendors, leading strategically, and driving continuous improvement.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
• Experience with SharePoint, contract management, and ERP systems.
