Talk Show Host (Lifestyle Television)

Location: San Diego, California, United States; onsite at 4575 Viewridge Ave

Salary: $75K+ annually, commensurate with experience and skill level

What you will do

• Host studio interviews and on-location segments for The LOCAList SD.
• Research and develop local story ideas, interview questions, scripts, and lifestyle segments with the Executive Producer.
• Shoot, produce, and edit video content for broadcast, digital, and social media platforms.
• Create short-form videos, promotional clips, and behind-the-scenes content.
• Collaborate with production and sales teams on sponsored segments, client integrations, and promotions.
• Represent the show at community events, station promotions, and special appearances.

Requirements

• Experience as an on-air host, television personality, reporter, interviewer, presenter, or comparable media professional.
• Strong communication, interviewing, storytelling, improvisational, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Confident and authentic on-camera presence with familiarity with San Diego culture, neighborhoods, lifestyle, and community.
• Videography and editing experience, including Sony X5-series cameras or comparable professional equipment and Adobe Premiere Pro or similar software.
• Ability to take segments from concept through final edit while capturing quality video and audio.
• Availability for occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays for shoots, production, and community events.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in broadcasting, journalism, communications, film, television, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Producing experience and familiarity with lifestyle programming.
