On-Call Senior Video Producer

Location: Rockville, Maryland, United States; candidates must be based in Maryland or the DMV area and able to work on local sets, often at short notice. The role may involve client and internal meetings and travel primarily within Maryland and the DMV. Flexible remote and hybrid arrangements are available, but local production presence is required.

Salary: $89,649–$152,404 annual pay range based on full-time employment.

What you will do

• Lead video and motion productions from briefing and scoping through bidding, pre-production, production, post-production, delivery, and reconciliation.
• Partner with Creative, Strategy, Account, Media, and client teams to define production approaches, budgets, schedules, partners, and scale.
• Manage productions across live action, motion design, animation, broadcast, branded content, digital and social video, audio, and emerging formats.
• Select and manage directors, production companies, editors, animators, motion designers, freelancers, talent, and specialist vendors.
• Oversee budgets, estimates, bids, scopes, purchase orders, change orders, production logistics, contracts, usage, licensing, and rights.
• Lead shoots and recording sessions and oversee editorial, animation, sound, music, color, finishing, accessibility, versioning, trafficking, and final delivery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of agency, production company, or equivalent video production experience, including independent leadership of complex productions.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in advertising, communications, film, production, media, or a related field.
• Deep experience producing campaign video and motion work across live action, animation, broadcast, digital, social, branded content, audio, and post-production.
• Strong knowledge of agency production practices, AICP/AICE bidding, estimates, scopes, agreements, financial reconciliation, talent usage, licensing, releases, and rights management.
• Strong production judgment, financial and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex productions, budgets, partners, and stakeholders.
• Must be based in Maryland or the DMV area and able to be on set locally, often at short notice.

Nice to have

• Experience producing video for national or large-scale campaigns.
• Experience with energy, utility, public health, government, healthcare, or other regulated or highly scrutinized clients.
• Experience with virtual production, real-time workflows, generative AI, and evolving production technologies.
