Oracle Cybersecurity Engineer (OCI)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate security controls across Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Cloud Applications, and hybrid Oracle environments.
• Define security architecture and harden cloud workloads using OCI security services and cloud-native security frameworks.
• Manage identity and access, including OCI Identity, IAM policies, and identity federation.
• Lead vulnerability management, patching, regulatory compliance, and security incident response programs.
• Integrate cloud workloads with SIEM platforms and translate requirements into production-ready solutions.
• Contribute through code and design reviews, cross-functional collaboration, and mentorship of junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of cloud security experience, including strong hands-on experience with OCI.
• Deep experience with OCI Identity, IAM policies, identity federation, Cloud Guard, Security Zones, Vault, and Data Safe.
• Knowledge of cloud-native security frameworks, CIS benchmarks, vulnerability management, patching, and regulatory frameworks including PCI-DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, and ISO 27001.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash, plus Terraform experience.

Nice to have

• Oracle Cloud Security Professional certification.
• CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent security certification.
• Experience with multi-cloud security architectures, SOAR platforms, automated incident response, or zero-trust architecture.
