Staff Full Stack Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, California; Jacksonville, Florida; or New York, New York. Remote options are available in California and New York.

Base salary: USD 150,000–175,000 per year, depending on location, experience, education, skills, and performance.

What you will do

• Develop modular, scalable front-end applications for the Geneva portfolio management and accounting platform.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including design, research, development, code reviews, deployment, testing, and production support.
• Design and integrate single-page applications with backend services and APIs.
• Define presentation-layer standards and contribute to maintainable application design.
• Collaborate with User Experience, Business Analyst, and QA teams to deliver effective user experiences.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of frontend development with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• 5+ years of backend development with Java and Spring or Spring Boot.
• Experience with REST and/or gRPC APIs, relational or NoSQL databases, microservices, and distributed applications.
• Strong knowledge of API design, resiliency, concurrency, multithreading, asynchronous programming, security, testing, debugging, and performance.
• Experience with containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD, automated testing, and production support.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, NATS, RabbitMQ, or other messaging and event-driven systems.
• Experience with observability, including logging, metrics, tracing, and production diagnostics.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, enterprise identity providers, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development tools, Agile methodologies, or Scrum.
• Background in wealth management or financial services.
