Field Premium Auditor (Insurance)

Location: Northville, Michigan, United States; field work across Jackson, Livingston, and Washtenaw Counties. After initial in-person training, a merit-based work-from-home schedule may be available according to job responsibilities and leadership approval.

What you will do

• Audit insured records and operations to determine exposure classifications, premium bases, and scopes of operations.
• Conduct physical audits through property observation, discussions with insureds, and accounting-record reviews.
• Report property exposures and make recommendations to Underwriting regarding eligibility, acceptability, and potential termination of coverage.
• Communicate with claims and underwriting associates, appointed agents, and insureds.
• Manage the assigned territory by scheduling audits and establishing a weekly appointment agenda.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Completion of, or progress toward, the Associate in Premium Auditing designation; requirements may be adjusted based on education or experience.
• Ability to drive an automobile and maintain a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
• Must be able to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
