What you will do

• Lead detailed mechanical or electrical design for data centre projects, including layouts, schematics, calculations, schedules, and construction drawings.
• Develop the Basis of Design and establish standards adapted to local codes, utility requirements, site conditions, and customer specifications.
• Design innovative solutions for high-density GPU infrastructure and reduce time to compute.
• Create reference designs, modular designs, and engineering guides for rapid, repeatable deployment.
• Manage design changes, decisions, open issues, and their impacts through resolution.
• Support site works, commissioning, and handover.

Requirements

• Experience in mechanical or electrical design within data centre or critical facilities environments.
• Working knowledge of relevant systems, including cooling, chillers, PUE/WUE, MV/LV distribution, UPS, switchgear, generators, and earthing.
• Experience across data centre design and construction stages, including resilience and Tier levels.
• Ability to produce detailed designs, calculations, schematics, single-line diagrams, and construction drawings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, energy modelling, or CFD experience.
• Experience with on-site construction, installation, or commissioning.
• Chartered status.
