Data Center Operations Intern (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role with in-person work at the North Bergen, New Jersey data center and Midtown Manhattan office; remote work is limited to permanent residents of hirify.global-approved states. The schedule includes in-person work on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and remote work on Tuesday and Friday. Working hours follow Eastern Time.

Pay rate: $30/hour for undergraduate students.

What you will do

• Assist with servers and network equipment under team guidance.
• Run and organize cables within the data center.
• Maintain equipment inventories and accurate technical documentation.
• Perform routine equipment checks and support basic troubleshooting.
• Participate in infrastructure projects supporting reliable exchange operations.

Requirements

• Current undergraduate student entering junior or senior year in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Interest in hardware, networking, and hands-on technology problem-solving.
• Basic familiarity with computer systems; Linux, networking, or hardware coursework and personal projects are useful.
• Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work in person at the Midtown Manhattan office during the summer.
• Permanent residence in one of hirify.global’s approved states for remote work.
