Senior STARS Consultant (Medicare)

Location: Remote within the continental United States, excluding California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii

Base pay: $69,800–$125,900 per year, with eligibility for an annual incentive bonus.

What you will do

• Act as the functional liaison between intake and operations teams for Medicare and Star Ratings initiatives.
• Review project scope and support business needs throughout the delivery cycle.
• Manage production and system change requests for enterprise initiatives.
• Research and analyze business impacts for medium-complexity, cross-functional projects.
• Communicate changes, enhancements, and operational updates to affected business units.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least five years of healthcare industry or health insurance experience, including previous Medicare experience.
• Strong written and oral communication, presentation, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Business acumen and project or program management experience.
• Experience working with senior management and staff across multiple departments.
• Ability to work remotely from the continental United States; California, New York, Alaska, and Hawaii are excluded.

Nice to have

• Experience leading or supporting Medicare Advantage Star Ratings initiatives with measurable quality improvement outcomes.
• Knowledge of HEDIS measures, quality reporting methodologies, Medicare Advantage products, and CMS regulations.
• Experience with dashboards, scorecards, performance reporting tools, Inovalon, Cotiviti, or other HEDIS platforms.
• Working knowledge of SQL and healthcare data analysis methodologies.
• Vendor oversight experience or an MBA, MPH, MHA, or related master’s degree.
