Senior Software Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid in Philadelphia, United States; one day per week in the Philadelphia office is required.

What you will do

• Design, build, and scale complex data-driven healthcare systems and backend services.
• Define architecture, API integration patterns, API contracts, and technical direction.
• Build cloud-native solutions and support infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD, automation, containerization, monitoring, and observability.
• Resolve complex issues, optimize performance and reliability, and lead root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Apply security best practices, mitigate risks, and support compliance with standards and regulations.
• Mentor engineers, review code, document systems, and collaborate with design, product, frontend, and business teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development experience, including distributed systems and cloud platforms.
• Expert proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, REST, API development, architectural patterns, and system design.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Terraform or CloudFormation; Docker; and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, logging, and DevOps practices.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, system integrations, JSON, SQL, Git, responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility standards.
