Database Developer (SQL)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain complex database objects, including stored procedures, triggers, functions, and views.
• Analyze SQL execution plans, identify bottlenecks, and optimize database performance, responsiveness, and scalability.
• Design and maintain data archiving plans and lifecycle processes covering retention, retrieval, integrity, and security.
• Develop and execute SQL scripts for data corrections, migrations, and resolution of data inconsistencies.
• Automate database installation, configuration, schema changes, and recurring corrections using Liquibase and approved tools.
• Collaborate in an Agile development environment to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable database solutions for ICE mission requirements.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related database development and engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• DoD 8570-compliant IAT Level II certification, such as CompTIA Security+.
• Ability to obtain a DHS Background Investigation.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is required for this federal contractor position.
• Strong communication, collaboration, business writing, analytical, consulting, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Active DHS or ICE background investigation.
• Experience in an Agile DevOps environment.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud.
• Experience leading and mentoring teams and communicating technical topics to executive-level government stakeholders.
