Senior Software Engineer (Observability)

Location: Remote in the United States or Canada

Salary: US Tier 1 $176K–$231K; US Tier 2 $158.4K–$207.9K; US Tier 3 $140.8K–$184.8K, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead the full software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through implementation, deployment, support, and maintenance.
• Design and build horizontally scalable, resilient, multi-component distributed systems.
• Develop internal and customer-facing observability capabilities using ClickHouse, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Thanos, Kubernetes, and hirify.global.
• Document design decisions, operational knowledge, and deployment procedures.
• Provide unit, integration, performance, and production-readiness coverage.
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident investigation, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience developing high-performance distributed systems in production.
• Experience designing, deploying, and supporting large-scale observability systems or high-throughput data streaming and processing pipelines.
• Expertise in at least one high-level programming language, preferably Go.
• Expert-level Kubernetes and query development skills, preferably SQL.
• Hands-on experience with a cloud provider, preferably AWS or GCP.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, networking, monitoring, instrumentation, and infrastructure configuration.
