AI & Computer Vision Engineer

Location: Hybrid role in West Greenwich, Rhode Island, US; applicants must reside within a commutable distance of the office.

Salary: $74,961–$164,800 estimated starting compensation range.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance C and C++ software and embedded applications.
• Develop computer vision and image-processing solutions for OCR, OMR, barcode recognition, and multispectral imaging.
• Improve image and video quality using mathematical, statistical, and computational techniques.
• Build, curate, and manage image datasets for AI model training, validation, and evaluation.
• Train, evaluate, and deploy machine-learning models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, and OpenCV.
• Collaborate with software, hardware, systems, and data-science teams to deliver integrated products and evaluate emerging AI technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience developing software with C/C++, including computer vision, image processing, machine learning, or related AI technologies.
• Experience designing and implementing computer-vision and image-processing algorithms.
• Strong understanding of image analysis, pattern recognition, machine learning, and deep learning.
• Experience with OpenCV and TensorFlow and/or PyTorch, plus Linux application and system-level programming.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills. Immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with embedded systems development.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
