Camera Vision Software Engineer (Computer Vision)

Location: US - Fremont, California; work arrangements may include a mix of in-office and remote work depending on role and business needs.

Base salary: $123,896.85–$167,625.15 USD per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Develop and refine computer vision and image-processing algorithms for robotic and semiconductor equipment-control systems.
• Build models for defect detection, object detection and tracking, segmentation, facial recognition, depth estimation, and related vision tasks.
• Collect, curate, annotate, preprocess, and augment image datasets for model training and evaluation.
• Implement C# and C++ software for Windows and Linux, including embedded control of robotic and motion-related hardware.
• Integrate software components with complete systems, conduct testing on emulators and hardware, and support system-level troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers; document releases and support customer software integration and field escalations.

Requirements

• BS or MS in computer science or equivalent experience, with computer vision and image-processing experience.
• At least 4 years of professional software development experience, including C# and/or C++.
• Experience with OpenCV, machine vision, machine learning, multithreading, network communication, and instrumentation or equipment-control software.
• Hands-on experience developing computer vision learning algorithms for object detection, tracking, segmentation, and depth estimation.
• Experience with UML object-oriented analysis and design, state machines, Linux customization, Git, and software testing.
• Experience with REST APIs, SQL or NoSQL databases, and containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other machine learning and deep learning frameworks.
• Knowledge of current deep learning literature and the mathematical foundations of machine learning.
• Experience with robotics, motion-control software, or related hardware systems.
