Lead Business Architect Engineering & Enterprise Tech

Location: Hybrid in Utrecht, Netherlands; candidates must currently be based in the Netherlands and legally authorised to work in the Netherlands. Applications from outside the Netherlands or the European Union will not be considered.

Salary: €12,666–€18,094 gross per month for a 40-hour work week.

What you will do

• Develop and steer the long-term IT strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the Engineering and Enterprise domain.
• Define the vision for development platforms and guide architecture and solutioning for the agentic SDLC hub.
• Advise senior leadership on trade-offs between business value, delivery speed, risk, and sustainability.
• Develop transformation roadmaps to simplify and modernise the application landscape.
• Coach and develop business architects while leading alignment across business, IT, engineering, and executive stakeholders.
• Influence IT vendor and sourcing strategies and present proposals at Managing Board level.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in IT or Business.
• 15 years of experience in senior business or enterprise architecture, or another form of senior content leadership.
• Extensive experience with IT platform architecture, including complex enterprise-scale platforms and technology landscapes.
• Experience building strategic relationships with executive stakeholders across business and technology.
• Proven leadership experience managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams and senior professionals.
• Strong conceptual, strategic, communication, influencing, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
