Lead Product Designer (AI)

What you will do

• Define the multi-year experience strategy for usage controls, budget management, and consumption analytics across administration and billing consoles.
• Design frameworks and end-to-end journeys for monitoring, allocating, forecasting, purchasing, and controlling AI and platform usage.
• Create data visualization patterns, real-time telemetry dashboards, predictive forecasting tools, threshold alerts, and automated usage guardrails.
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Analytics, and Design Systems teams to deliver cohesive administrator and end-user experiences.
• Mentor senior designers, lead design critiques, and raise design quality across platform design teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing complex digital products, enterprise SaaS platforms, developer tools, financial tools, or data-dense web applications.
• Ability to turn technical, financial, or algorithmic complexity into clear, intuitive, human-centered experiences.
• Experience leading ambiguous platform or zero-to-one initiatives and partnering with Product and Engineering leadership.
• Strong skills in user research, information architecture, interaction design, prototyping, and scalable design systems.
• Case studies demonstrating systems thinking, multi-state workflows, edge-case management, and measurable impact.

Nice to have

• Experience with usage-based pricing, cloud cost management, fintech, resource quota systems, or enterprise governance platforms.
• Experience designing AI interaction models, autonomous agents, or consumption- and token-based mechanics.
• Expertise in data visualization, real-time analytics, and trend or forecasting interfaces.
• Experience working in distributed global teams across multiple time zones.
