Product Designer

Location: Hybrid in Sydney, Australia

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end product design from discovery through delivery across new and existing product areas.
• Conduct and synthesise user research through interviews, usability testing, surveys, and workflow analysis.
• Translate complex technical requirements into intuitive workflows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished interfaces.
• Partner with product managers and engineers to balance user value, technical feasibility, and business goals.
• Identify usability issues and drive improvements across the product experience.
• Contribute to the Nitro Design System and visualise future product concepts and strategic direction.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in UX or product design, ideally in SaaS or complex software environments.
• Experience across discovery, wireframing, prototyping, high-fidelity design, and validation.
• Ability to design elegant solutions for technically complex workflows and data-rich products.
• Experience with user research, discovery, cross-functional collaboration, and explaining design decisions through evidence.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and move between tactical execution and strategic product thinking.
• Comfort working in fast-paced startup, scale-up, or consulting-style environments.

Nice to have

• Experience designing enterprise SaaS, infrastructure platforms, or technically sophisticated B2B products.
• Experience contributing to or scaling design systems.
• Familiarity with geospatial, engineering, or data-visualisation products.
