What you will do

• Complete structured virtual, classroom, and on-the-job training in insurance policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures.
• Review, investigate, document, and evaluate workers compensation claims under close supervision.
• Assess coverage, compensability, exposure, claim resolution plans, and potential fraud.
• Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, medical providers, and legal counsel, and communicate claim status to all parties.
• Maintain accurate claim records, participate in telephonic or onsite file reviews, and coordinate medical treatment when appropriate.
• Develop claim-handling knowledge, demonstrate continuous learning in AI and digital transformation, and progress toward independent claims responsibility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or required for the broader candidate profile.
• Previous customer service or insurance internship/work experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication, judgment, organization, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with willingness to learn claims management systems.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required state insurance or adjuster licenses within three months of starting.
