Development Manager (AI/.NET)

Location: Remote in the Netherlands

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate development, QA and DevOps activities across onshore and offshore contributors.
• Drive the transition to automated testing and introduce AI-assisted coding, code review, documentation and test generation.
• Set guardrails for safe AI-generated code, including human accountability, security review, licence compliance and maintainability.
• Run sprint planning, user-story grooming, delivery tracking, release coordination and estimation with the Product Owner.
• Stay hands-on with coding, pull-request reviews, production troubleshooting and technical discussions.
• Coordinate cloud hosting, deployments, integrations and DevOps priorities for customer-facing applications.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience building and maintaining commercial web-based business software.
• Experience as a technical lead, senior developer with coordination responsibilities or development manager.
• Strong knowledge of C#/.NET, SQL Server, Entity Framework, Azure, containerised SaaS delivery, microservices and external-system integrations.
• Production experience with React, Blazor or ASP.NET MVC; relational and document databases including MS SQL/Azure SQL and MongoDB.
• Hands-on Agile/Scrum, CI/CD, test automation and AI-assisted development experience.

Nice to have

• Experience optimising cloud applications for high throughput and high availability.
• Commodity trading and risk management knowledge, or experience in agriculture, energy or metals.
• Experience delivering support-intensive, customer-facing products.
• Experience rolling out AI tooling, agentic coding tools or AI-assisted test generation in compliance-sensitive environments.
