Lead Fullstack Engineer (AI)

Location: Bulgaria, Poland or Romania. Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required. Availability is required until 6:00 PM CET daily and until 9:00 PM CET twice a week.

What you will do

• Build cloud-native digital products and AI-powered conversational voice and chat experiences for financial services clients.
• Develop complex frontend, backend and AI integrations while remaining hands-on with production code.
• Design technical solutions using domain-driven architecture, APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Lead AI feature development with Claude, AWS Bedrock and LangGraph, including orchestration, guardrails and evaluation.
• Drive engineering standards, automated testing, CI/CD with GitHub Actions and infrastructure as code with AWS CDK.
• Lead squads of 8–20 engineers, mentor team members and collaborate with architects, product owners, designers and delivery leads.

Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless services, including Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, Step Functions and DynamoDB.
• Experience with API design, event-driven integrations, LLM-powered applications, Claude through AWS Bedrock and LangGraph agent orchestration.
• Experience with RAG, tool use, prompt design, guardrails, evaluation, AI-assisted coding and automated unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with GitHub Actions, AWS CDK, agile delivery and translating Figma designs into accessible, pixel-accurate interfaces.
• EU work location and a valid work permit are required. Availability until 6:00 PM CET daily and until 9:00 PM CET twice weekly is required.

Nice to have

• Experience applying GenAI workflows, prompt patterns and tool integrations across the software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with agent-based workflows, automation patterns and AI-augmented development.
