Senior Software Engineer (Java/Angular)

Location: Hybrid roles based in Iași, Romania, or Warsaw, Poland

What you will do

• Build and evolve publisher web applications in Angular using a micro-frontend architecture and shared design system.
• Design documented APIs for web and mobile clients and build, maintain, and operate Java backend services.
• Own AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Migrate legacy publisher functionality, separate shared publisher and advertiser applications, and decommission obsolete components.
• Use AI agents across coding, reviews, testing, migrations, and documentation while developing reusable practices for the wider team.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and engineering teams to shape solutions, improve quality, resolve production issues, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial software engineering experience delivering full-stack features end to end.
• Strong experience with Angular or a similar framework, TypeScript, Java, and Spring Boot or a similar framework.
• Experience with RESTful API design, contract-first development, OpenAPI, versioning, error handling, authentication, and authorization.
• Hands-on AWS experience with services such as ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB or RDS, S3, and CloudFront, plus Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
• Daily experience using AI coding agents and the judgment to verify and review their output.
• Strong English communication skills required for collaboration with technical and non-technical colleagues across locations.
