Construction Production Designer

Location: Remote from Manila, Philippines; AU working hours and holidays

Salary: PHP 80,000–120,000 per month

What you will do

• Produce complete, buildable production design documentation compliant with building regulations, the Australian National Construction Code, and company standards.
• Create structural framing designs and roll-forming data files for fabrication and manufacturing.
• Model and detail baseframe steelwork, roof structures, light gauge steel wall and roof framing, and custom non-standard components.
• Develop design solutions that improve buildability and installation efficiency.
• Respond to technical queries, variations, documentation changes, and stakeholder issues.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Design & Estimating, Construction, external consultants, and structural engineers.

Requirements

• Tertiary degree in Architecture, Building Design, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Revit certification or formal qualification, with at least 3 years of hands-on Autodesk Revit experience at an intermediate to advanced level.
• Understanding of the Australian National Construction Code, relevant Australian Standards, building regulations, construction methods, and structural engineering principles.
• At least 2 years of offshore experience working for Australian companies.
• Familiarity with light gauge steel framing software.
• Ability to deliver precise drawings under fast-paced timelines, collaborate across disciplines, and learn new software and procedures quickly.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of overall drafting experience, including 2 years focused on structural drafting for small-scale or modular buildings.
• Experience in the modular building industry.
• Experience integrating 3D models with estimating platforms such as CostX.
• AutoCAD knowledge and experience with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
