QA Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote; work structured around UK working hours

Builds and operates vertical software and AI-native SaaS products for financial services, banking, utilities, property management, and nonprofit organizations.

What you will do

• Design, document, and execute manual test cases and test plans across multiple concurrent projects.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing for web applications and RESTful APIs.
• Test enhancements, configuration changes, and fixes in an existing Windows desktop application.
• Develop and maintain automated tests for high-value, repetitive, and regression-prone areas.
• Review requirements and designs, identify edge cases, document defects, and verify fixes.
• Report test status, risks, and quality metrics while supporting release readiness and QA process improvements.

Requirements

• 4+ years of software quality assurance experience covering manual and automated testing.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, software development lifecycle practices, and testing standards.
• Hands-on experience testing web applications and RESTful APIs with Postman or an equivalent tool.
• Experience testing Windows desktop applications and validating enhancements and configuration changes.
• Experience with a test automation framework such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or a similar tool.
• Ability to write structured test cases and reproducible defect reports, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience testing banking or financial services applications.
• Experience with Playwright-based automated or AI-driven QA solutions.
• Exposure to CI/CD integration, SQL-based data validation, performance testing, or security testing.
