Regulatory Specialist (FDA Food & Dietary Supplements)

What you will do

• Review product labels, Supplement Facts panels, packaging, disclaimers, ingredient lists, net quantity statements, and structure/function claims for FDA compliance.
• Evaluate claim substantiation with the Research & Scientific Affairs team and maintain alignment with the internal Claims Library.
• Own regulatory clearance for new product launches by coordinating documentation, reviewing label copy, and completing SKU compliance checklists.
• Maintain compliance for retailer and e-commerce listings, including Amazon Seller Central, Target, and other retail channels.
• Review supplier ingredient documentation, including GRAS status, food-grade and supplement-grade certifications, and specifications.
• Monitor FDA warning letters and regulatory developments while maintaining regulatory files, SOPs, and documentation standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, life science, health science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of regulatory experience in a consumer brand, dietary supplement company, or functional food company; brand-side experience is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of FDA dietary supplement and food labeling regulations, Supplement Facts requirements, structure/function claims, and food-versus-supplement classification.
• Experience translating regulatory requirements into practical guidance for Product Development, Marketing, Research & Scientific Affairs, and Quality teams.
• Excellent attention to detail, documentation skills, and comfort working in a fast-moving product environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Amazon Seller Central and retail channel regulatory requirements.
• Familiarity with GRAS requirements for functional food ingredients.
• Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC).
