Food Regulatory Advisor

Location: UK Remote, United Kingdom; Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Salary: from £40,000 per year, depending on experience

hirify.global provides testing, inspection, certification, auditing, and consultancy services supporting food safety, quality, sustainability, and compliance across the food supply chain.

What you will do

• Provide professional regulatory and technical consultancy services to key retail clients.
• Ensure food products are safe, legal, and compliant with applicable requirements.
• Prepare and check pack copy based on supplier specifications and client requirements.
• Review pack copy against current and pending UK and EU legislation, Codes of Practice, technical standards, and industry guidelines.
• Support specification interrogation, artwork approval, food labelling, and advertising compliance.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, design agencies, print houses, and internal and external stakeholders, including attending meetings as required.

Requirements

• A degree or equivalent qualification in Food Science, Science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of UK and EU food legislation, Codes of Practice, and industry guidelines.
• Experience preparing and approving legally compliant pack copy, labels, and artwork.
• Experience completing online retailer specifications.
• Experience working in a Food Advisor capacity and readiness to take on greater responsibility and autonomy.
