Associate Regulatory Food Advisor (Food)

What you will do

• Provide professional regulatory and technical consultancy services to key retail clients.
• Ensure food products are safe, legal, and compliant with applicable requirements.
• Interrogate specifications and prepare and check pack copy, labels, and artwork.
• Approve artwork and advise on food labelling legislation, technical standards, and advertising requirements.
• Complete work in line with client requirements and supplier specifications.
• Maintain technical competence and stay current with legislation, industry guidance, and trends.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in the food industry, ideally within a regulatory or quality function.
• Experience working in food manufacturing within a technical, quality, or regulatory department.
• Awareness of UK and EU legislation.
• Experience preparing and approving legally compliant pack copy for labels and artwork.
• Experience completing online retailer specifications.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a professional and customer-focused approach.
• Good IT skills, including competent use of Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have

• Degree or equivalent qualification in food or science.
