Senior Software Engineer (React.js, Node.js)

Location: Remote contractor role for candidates in Latin America

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable frontend and backend features for digital merchandising and digital signage solutions.
• Build custom functionality that improves user experience and system performance.
• Integrate and manage RESTful APIs across frontend and backend systems.
• Deploy and monitor containerized applications on AWS, including EKS environments.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, identify improvements, and maintain clear documentation.
• Collaborate with internal, external, and cross-functional teams to coordinate campaign configurations and deployments.

Requirements

• 3+ years of full-stack development experience with a frontend focus of approximately 70%.
• Strong proficiency in Next.js and Express, with advanced TypeScript knowledge for backend development.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, containerized applications, and EKS deployments.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, frontend/backend integration, Git, and application deployment.
• Strong communication, collaboration, attention to detail, and ability to provide technical insights for project planning.
• Must be based in Latin America.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience with full-stack architecture, design patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment best practices.
• Experience with cross-browser compatibility and debugging.
