Coordinator, Tool Crib (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite at the Torrance, California facility, United States. The regular schedule is 2:00 PM–10:30 PM; training may take place on first shift from 6:00 AM–2:30 PM for 1–2 months.

Salary: $25.00–$35.00 hourly.

hirify.global’s Military Aircraft Group designs and integrates flight control actuation systems for military aircraft, including the F-35 Lightning II and V280 Valor.

What you will do

• Manage more than 20,000 inspection gages across the Aircraft Group’s Machine Shop, Processing, and A&T operations.
• Track gage location, condition, and calibration status in the Tooling and Equipment Database, and coordinate timely calibration and returns.
• Identify and order replacement gages and coordinate alternatives for missing, damaged, or failed equipment.
• Set and kit tooling for work orders, build tooling packages, and support production delivery priorities.
• Handle machine shop administrative activities, including purchases of tooling, inspection equipment, racking, and cabinets.
• Provide technical guidance for unusual operational and regulatory issues, support audits, develop employees, and lead Lean/Kaizen improvements.

Requirements

• Must work onsite in Torrance, California.
• High school diploma or GED preferred, or the ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer-based work instructions in English.
• Experience with tool setting, kitting, and gage inspection equipment.
• Experience supporting machine shop operations and department purchasing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, with experience in process improvement, Lean/Kaizen, and aerospace.
