Senior Accountant

Location: Remote within the United States. An in-person interview may be required during the hiring process.

Salary: USD $76,829–$142,213 per year, depending on location, experience, skills, and other factors.

What you will do

• Prepare, analyze, and evaluate subsidiary general ledgers.
• Prepare and maintain complex operating and financial reports.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
• Prepare required footnote disclosures.
• Perform advanced financial analyses and special projects for financial management.
• Maintain relationships with outside auditors and public accounting firms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with an accounting major or equivalent education.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 2 years in public accounting.
• Experience with GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
• Must be able to work remotely from the United States.

Nice to have

• CPA or MBA.
• Experience at a Big Four accounting firm.
• Insurance accounting experience.
