Staff Accountant

Location: Hybrid role in Framingham, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $64,000–$92,500 base salary per year, plus benefits and potential performance incentives.

What you will do

• Prepare recurring and nonrecurring journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and organized general ledger records.
• Perform month-end close activities and compile financial data for internal and external reporting.
• Analyze account activity, investigate unusual balances, resolve reconciling items, and prepare period-over-period explanations.
• Collaborate with Corporate Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Tax, and operational teams on transactions and reporting requirements.
• Support SOX controls, internal and external audit requests, and timely escalation of accounting or control issues.
• Improve accounting processes and contribute to guidelines, procedures, training materials, reporting, and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• At least one year of general accounting experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to manage deadlines, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced hybrid environment.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.

• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, BlackLine, or similar accounting and reconciliation systems.
