Senior Accountant (Fixed Asset Accounting/GAAP): Maintaining general ledger integrity, reconciliations, accruals, fixed asset records, and financial reporting for daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting cycles with an accent on GAAP compliance, cost allocation, and variance analysis. Focus on reconciling subledgers and clearing accounts, managing PP&E and construction-in-progress transactions, and supporting audits, forecasting, and annual budgeting.

What you will do
- Maintain the general ledger, post vouchers, prepare journal entries, and ensure accurate account coding.
- Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, clearing accounts, intercompany balances, and ERP subledgers.
- Manage construction-in-progress, PP&E transactions, asset capitalization, disposals, transfers, depreciation reconciliation, and asset tracking.
- Prepare accruals, telecom expense analyses, actual-versus-budget reviews, forecasts, and cost center and profit center analyses.
- Support quarterly vendor audit reviews and annual reporting, audits, inventory processes, and budgeting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least four years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience with fixed asset accounting and ERP systems; Syteline experience is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Parsippany, New Jersey.
