Field Application Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based out of Tokyo, Japan

What you will do

• Collaborate with sales teams and enterprise customers to drive adoption of AI products and solutions.
• Engage customers through meetings, presentations, and workshops to understand technical challenges.
• Explain complex AI and platform concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide effective technical solutions and support customer deployments.
• Share customer feedback with sales operations and product teams to influence product enhancements and roadmap priorities.

Requirements

• Fluent Japanese and business-level English.
• 5+ years of relevant technical enterprise experience, such as Field Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Technical Account Manager.
• Strong customer-facing communication and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in AI technologies and frameworks, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Experience with GPUs, CUDA, or AI accelerators, plus familiarity with hardware/software co-optimization.
• Understanding of data centers, server architecture and deployment, thermal and power considerations, and infrastructure management.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative models and LLMs.
• Experience optimizing vision models and building AI pipelines at scale.
