Software Development Engineer II (AI)

Location: WA - O'Neill Building, United States of America; Greater Seattle Area. Relocation is provided, and travel to hirify.global manufacturing facilities may be required up to 10% of the time. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or nationals, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted refugees or asylees.

Base pay for Washington applicants: $134,961.00–$188,945.40 annually; other site ranges may differ.

What you will do

• Design and build the next-generation procurement platform covering requisition workflows, sourcing automation, purchase orders, invoicing, supplier lifecycle, quality integrations, compliance, export control, and a shared data model.
• Build software products for sourcing, inventory control, manufacturing and quality, test operations, and related supply chain domains.
• Develop efficient, maintainable software using Java, Python, and TypeScript, as well as web interfaces with React and Angular.
• Design automated monitoring and alerting using cloud platforms and services, while improving availability, recovery time, latency, and technical debt.
• Implement AI workflows and software development lifecycle improvements across Supply Chain & Operations Technology.
• Lead technical design reviews, establish repeatable delivery mechanisms, and mentor junior software developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Demonstrated experience researching and incorporating modern AI/ML tools.
• Proficiency or expertise with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to lead multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with cloud architecture and microservices design patterns.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical teams and scaling high-performing engineering teams.
• Knowledge of MRP, supply chain planning, or manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Experience with data engineering and analytics platforms.
• Experience architecting and scaling AI/ML solutions across supply chain or operations domains.
• Deep understanding of large language models, generative AI, and emerging AI technologies.
• Experience incorporating AI capabilities into software systems to drive business value and operational efficiency.
