Field Service Representative (FSR) Build & Configure Engineer

Location: Onsite in San Diego, CA, United States. U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance are required.

Salary: $175,000–$190,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Oversee the build and configuration of software on government-owned hardware in a government facility.
• Configure and validate enterprise servers, including operating systems, network settings, and system-level troubleshooting.
• Manage build schedules across concurrent work streams and report progress as the central source of status information.
• Coordinate daily with government officials, contractors, vendors, internal teams, and remote engineers.
• Map technical and procedural processes, identify blockers, and route issues to the appropriate owners.
• Train analysts, operators, and new personnel on lab processes, systems, and procedures.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Experience supporting on-premises server deployments and configuring enterprise hardware and software.
• Linux system configuration and management experience, including command-line work.
• Experience configuring and debugging IPv4 networks, including static IP assignment, routing, and NAT.
• Experience coordinating complex technical work across teams, vendors, and stakeholders in classified government or laboratory environments.
• Technical fluency in Python, SQL, or Spark and strong communication, reporting, and troubleshooting skills.
