Principal Application Engineer (STA - SignOff)

Location: Austin, United States of America. Travel required up to 20%, including on-site and off-site customer support.

Annual salary range: $116,200–$215,800 for California locations other than San Jose. Additional incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for Digital Implementation and Signoff tools.
• Present capabilities and workflows covering synthesis, place and route, and timing, physical, and power signoff.
• Deliver customer workshops, benchmarks, product demonstrations, methodology consultations, and technical evaluations.
• Identify product opportunities and execute technical campaigns with sales account teams.
• Support customer implementations, ongoing tool usage, and usage proliferation.
• Collaborate with R&D on tool and methodology improvements and contribute technical content to hirify.global Online Support.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of digital design fundamentals, semiconductor fundamentals, and static timing analysis.
• Core timing signoff expertise, advanced-node STA, UPF and constraints debugging, and hierarchical and 3DIC design STA and closure solutions.
• Working knowledge of TCL, Perl, or Python.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with 8–10 years of experience, or a master’s degree in electrical engineering with 6–8 years of experience.
• Strong customer-facing communication, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and continuously expand professional skills.

• Experience with ASIC digital implementation flows and tools.
