Regional Director, Forward Deployed Engineering (AI)

What you will do

• Lead and scale a team of 6–8 Forward Deployed Engineers supporting strategic enterprise accounts.
• Own the engagement lifecycle from technical discovery and architecture reviews through executive close and production delivery.
• Serve as the executive technical sponsor for high-priority engagements and manage relationships from individual contributors to C-suite stakeholders.
• Ensure strong scoping, milestone tracking, technical standards, delivery quality, and handoffs to customer engineering teams.
• Identify product gaps and recurring customer pain, translating findings into actionable input for Product and Engineering.
• Build reusable FDE playbooks and develop a partner FDE track for GSI and consulting partners.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience leading technical teams that build and ship production software.
• Experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a similar function involving coding and code review.
• Software development experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience building and owning AI-native workflows in production and debugging real-world model failures.
• Ability to diagnose complex enterprise engineering environments, identify high-leverage interventions, and scope meaningful engagements.
• Experience hiring, developing, and scaling individual-contributor technical teams.
