Program Manager, Talon A (Aerospace)

Location: Mojave, California, United States; onsite at least 80% of normal work days

Salary: $134,000–$198,000 annually

What you will do

• Oversee multiple concurrent programs with responsibility for cost, schedule, technical performance, customer satisfaction, forecasting, budgeting, invoicing, and financial reporting.
• Lead strategic planning, business development, proposal development, capture strategies, and opportunities for program expansion and technology insertion.
• Manage relationships with customers, government agencies, strategic partners, subcontractors, and suppliers, including complex contract negotiations.
• Direct cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, procurement, finance, legal, and other organizational functions.
• Oversee risk management, governance, regulatory and contractual compliance, quality standards, and classified program execution.
• Provide executive briefings and program reports to the Program Director, C-suite, and Board of Directors while supporting organizational growth and talent development.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant program management experience, including at least 5 years in senior leadership within aerospace, defense, or high-technology sectors.
• Experience managing large, complex, multidisciplinary programs with annual budgets exceeding $100 million.
• Extensive experience with aerospace program management, aircraft systems, aircraft operations, launch vehicle integration, ground systems, subcontracts, procurement, and prototype or low-rate production.
• Advanced risk management expertise and experience with classified programs; ability to obtain and maintain a TS (Top Secret) security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business Management/Administration, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work onsite in Mojave for at least 80% of normal work days, including occasional off-nominal hours and weekends for flight testing.

Nice to have

• Experience with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and major defense contractors.
• Air-launch, launch vehicle, aircraft integration, large transport aircraft, or military aircraft operations experience.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent advanced project or program management certification.
